Cities and Active Inclusion: quality of social services and the social economy; Key lessons from cities

samenvatting

This report provides an analytical overview of trends, challenges and innovative practices on active inclusion at local level in ten cities throughout the European Union. It is based on ten research reports produced by ten cities. Five cities looked at the issue of providing quality social services (Barcelona, Birmingham, Brno, Copenhagen, and Sofia), and five cities focused on the role of the social economy in supporting active inclusion (Bologna, Krakow, Lille Métropole-Roubaix, Rotterdam and Stockholm). In their ten reports, the cities described the social context in which they have to work. This included identifying the main issues and groups in need of active inclusion policy support. citi
